How To Set Folio (8.5x13) Size in Excel 2013

I've been wondering why I can't find the Folio(8.5x13) size in the drop down list of Excel 2013 after installation. But after searching for an answer online...the only reason is that excel unlike in MS Words is dependent on the settings set by your printer. This means that whatever the settings appear by your default printer will also be the settings you will see in the drop down list of your excel page size in page setup. If you don't have any printer installed on your PC and your default printer is set to One Note then you will not see the Folio size in the drop down list of your excel program. You must change your default printer to Microsoft XPS Document Writer for you to see the Folio size in Excel.

If you have a printer driver, you don't need to do this because today's printer driver always have a 8.5x13 page size. But if you don't have one you have to set your default printer to Microsoft XPS Document Writer by going to Control Panel then Hardware and Sound then Devices and Printers if you're using Windows 8. If you're using an older version of Windows, I'm sure you will not find it hard to find and change your default printer in the control panel.
Now if you dont have a printer at home and you want to print it in computer shop, it is better to convert it to pdf format using the save as button, select the pdf in the drop down menu, select advance for an specific page to covert. Why do you have to do that? Even if you already done the formatting of page setup you will surely encounter problem in printing in computer shop since the printer in computer shop is different from yours.

  10. Im using a Brother in the Office on my new laptop. Folio does not appear. I remember having Folio in my old laptop. The only difference is that installed both Brother and Epson (home used). I installed the Epson driver for L3150. Lo and behold. Folio now appears as one of the options in Excel 2019
